Outcome 1C
Students participating in field day at Dunbar Elem.
Knowledge of how to represent the disciplinary knowledge/content to make it comprehensible to learners (i.e., pedagogical content knowledge).
Knowledge in a content area is very valuable to becoming a great teacher. Knowing how to relay knowledge content to the student is very important if not most important. Students are all different and all have different methods in which they learn best. It is the teacher’s job and responsibility to adapt their style of teaching to suit the needs of the students in their class.
While in my studies I was trained to find the best approach for students by getting to know the students and finding their strengths and weaknesses, while at the same time learning my strengths and weaknesses in my approach to teaching. I feel that I am a valuable teacher and that I know the approach needed to reach each student in the class. Below you will find different approaches that I have used in being able to make the connection with my students by using different teaching approaches as well as Pedagogical lessons.
